U.S.C. 55, Oklahoma 19: As they have so often this year, the Trojans looked sluggish and complacent on their opponent's opening drive, than turned up the jets to produce one of the most shocking blow-out wins in the history of college football. 2003 Heisman winner Jason White threaded the needle on several passes in the Sooners' first possession, including a touchdown pass that went past two Trojan defenders, but proceeded to stink up the field the rest of the game. Two turning points stand out: first, after stopping USC on the Trojans' third possession of the game, with the score tied at 7, an Oklahoma return man attempted to pick up a rolling punt on the three-yard line, whereupon he fumbled the ball back to the Trojans; and second, after driving the Sooners into USC territory on the next possession, White threw a dying quail into quintuple coverage, which USC intercepted. Both turnovers led to touchdowns, and the outcome was never in doubt after that. USC returns a large percentage of their starters, including their Heisman Trophy candidates Reggie Bush and Matt Leinart.
